Talented youth without a way forward.
A gift that is never discovered cannot be nurtured, and a talent that is never nurtured cannot change a life.
About us
CYEF was founded by celebrated entertainer and youth advocate Vincent Muasya Mutua, known widely as Chipukeezy, to ensure talent is not wasted for lack of a chance.
Long before the television cameras and stages, Chipukeezy understood what it meant to have ambition, talent and very few open doors. Education and comedy became the opportunities that helped him build a public voice.
As his platform grew, so did a clear conviction: many young people are equally gifted, but never receive mentorship, exposure, education, funding or a platform. CYEF exists to close that gap through schools, sport, comedy, media, conservation and partnerships.
How the model works
The problem we are solving
CYEF focuses on the barriers that keep gifted young people from becoming visible, skilled, supported and economically active.
A gift that is never discovered cannot be nurtured, and a talent that is never nurtured cannot change a life.
Ambition alone is not enough when the route from learning, sport or creativity to earning remains unclear.
Young people need people further along the path, plus stages, tournaments, media and institutions that can see them.
For many low-income households, school costs and training costs interrupt futures that could have taken a different path.
A generation of empowered young people whose talents become tools for transformation, leadership and sustainable livelihoods.
To identify, nurture, equip, showcase and connect talented young people to opportunities that enable them to thrive socially and economically.
Core values
Every young person carries a gift worth discovering, and talent deserves the chance to grow wherever it is found.
CYEF handles every partnership, resource and young life entrusted to it with honesty and care.
The foundation builds with families, schools, mentors and partners because no young person rises alone.
Programs are designed, delivered and accounted for with high standards and continuous learning.
Behind every statistic is a young person with a story, a struggle and a dream.
The safety, dignity and wellbeing of every child and young person is non-negotiable.
Where we work
CYEF's current program footprint connects school-based work, sports, creative mentorship and conservation activity across these areas. The team responsible for each area is listed on the leadership page.
Looking ahead
CYEF's long-term ambition is a future where a young person's starting point, family income or home county does not determine how far their talent can take them. The foundation is building clear, supported pathways from football pitches, community stages, classrooms and school programs into mentorship, visibility, scholarships, funding and sustainable livelihoods.
Every scholarship awarded, young footballer connected to a trial, comedian stepping onto a stage and learner supported at St. Martin De Porres is treated as a deliberate investment in a future where talent is universal and opportunity becomes universal too.
