Governance
CYEF publishes its full policy pack as public downloads
Fifteen policy documents are now available to download from the governance page, covering child safeguarding, code of conduct, incident reporting, referral pathways, media and consent, data protection, conflict of interest, whistleblowing, anti-fraud, finance and procurement, human resources, equality and inclusion, risk and event safety plus complaints.
The documents are drafted against Kenyan law, including the Children Act 2022, the Data Protection Act 2019 and the Employment Act 2007. Publishing them as files rather than describing them means a partner carrying out due diligence can read the actual standard CYEF works to.

Safeguarding
Safeguarding framework mapped to the International Safeguards for Children in Sport
CYEF's Child Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy now sets out, safeguard by safeguard, where the Foundation meets each of the eight International Safeguards for Children in Sport. That covers policy, response procedures, advice and support, risk, behaviour standards, safe recruitment, working with partners, plus monitoring and evaluation.
The policy also names the concrete controls behind those commitments: a Police Clearance Certificate for everyone working with children, renewed every twelve months. A signed Code of Conduct before first contact. A reporting route that runs to Childline Kenya on 116 and to the Sub-County Children Officer where a child may be at risk.

Girls' football
Girls' football programme now has a public page
Girls' sides have competed in football and basketball fixtures at the Tala Opens, the tournament CYEF runs with Green Generation Initiative and local partners. The new programme page sets out how girls' football runs: weekly daylight training, a female coach or chaperone at every session, kit and equipment provided, and no participation fee.
It also states plainly what is not yet in place. The programme currently competes at tournament level rather than across a full season, and CYEF is working towards a regular fixture list, age-group squads and certified female coaches drawn from the players themselves.
